We have a collection of body surfing videos and other fun related stuff to do with Slyde Handboards our artists and our collaborators. As a small company we don't have the resources to outsource much apart from the odd print job. So as with the rest of what we do, We do it ourselves. or we get friends who have a little more experience than we do to give us a hand. Closer look at the Woody Handplane/Handboard

A closer look at the Slyde Handboards answer to the 60's Woody. Up close and personal to the wedge series "woody" handboard/handplane.  The first reaction from most  people  to the woody is how sick it looks. The  next  is to how light it is. The woody is made with either White Oak, birch, or maple and the darker version is a walnut or cherry wood Veneer.

How to use and attach your slydehandboards strap.

We go into a little more detail on how to attach your strap to your brand new Handboard/handplane. We also discuss the materials used to keep your Slyde strap inserted and explain why its never going to pull out. The strap inserts have a very high pull out resistance as they are the same inserts used in tow in surf boards for big wave riders.

After seeing our boards at an event in New York in August, the editor of Antenna Magazine was compelled to team Us up with another local Venice Beach company Aviator Nation, To see what we could come up with for their multi city tour they are doing in partnership with Hyundai.

The Slyde Handboards Inside the material

This is a closer look at what goes into the inside of our handplanes Boards/ Handboards Our proprietary CSC technology sandwiches the foam core in a 3mm layer of PVC foam. This sandwich technology increases strength by 30% and decreases weight by nearly 30%.Our vacuum seal process creates a full and completely seamless cover over the whole-board which eliminates weak spots found in many other sandwich boards.
